Josh

Originally from the wilds of Shetland, my early enjoyment of work came whilst helping my handyman father with jobs around the home and village. I went on to work with some local builders before studying engineering in Edinburgh. I then relocated to the north east for work over a decade ago, and in my spare time I renovated houses, worked on small boats and began a family.

A self proclaimed family man, I enjoy barbecues in winter, winding up Mark and attempting to get in very cold water...

I started my career as a  joiner/carpenter that's where I found my early passion for wood working.

It wasn't until my mid 20s when I decided I wanted to follow in my grandfathers footsteps and go to sea, and this is where MGJS was born, when Josh hired me for a workboat company. Since then I have gained vast experience in the industry working on various projects and different types of vessels.

Mark is the face and looks of the company...
